I've always been curious at how people see me. Do I look mean? Do I look cold or am I approachable? So with those thoughts in mind I called up my 12 year old niece and told her I had an interesting project I wanted her to take part in. While doing this little shoot I realized there is something incredibly beautiful about handing a 12 year old a camera and telling them to shoot what they see. By giving them the creative freedom and a sense of power to do whatever they want without being wrong helps bring out their fun and inspiration. The only control I had in this shoot was driving us to where we would be taking the photos and I handed over the camera and told her to start shooting. This shoot took us only 15 minutes and I'm amazed at her eye and the way she captures things.
Hella proud auntie over here!
