Okay, so BOOM! I am wearing a crop top and its literally a tank top that i knotted to show off how far my waist has come since I started my weight loss journey and hot damn I am so proud of myself for all the work I've been putting in to become a better version of myself.
I started a 6 week challenge at Fit Body Boot camp in April titled "Little Black Dress 6 Week Challenge" and I can remember how disgusted I was with myself when I did my first weight in. All I could think about was how much I let myself go. I got comfortable in my office position and started eating horribly, drinking coffee concoctions that seemed low calorie but in all reality had very high sugar content, drinking wine and beer during the week and not working out. I did everything you're not meant to do to my body and I knew I desperately needed a change but had zero clue where to start.
I needed a lifestyle overhaul - personal training didn't work for me because I didn't take it seriously, I worked out 2 days a week (could barely afford it) yet hate horrifically at home which meant I was essentially cancelling out any and all progress I could've made. I wasted my trainers time and mine because you can't truly workout and see results until you take yourself and the lifestyle change seriously. I stopped my personal training sessions in December 2017 right before Christmas and ended up gaining about 10lbs which led me to Fit Body in April 2018 and once I took part in the two week free trial I knew it was the workout I needed. 30 minutes of high intensity workouts along with people who care about your progress and provide nutritional meal plans?! Sign me all the way up.
I am a firm believer that Fit Body was the best decision for me because it was everything I needed. It was a group of men and women who had one common goal - weight loss and toning. We had a Facebook group dedicated to us where we could vent about how things we going, where we shared positive affirmations or funny jokes. I joined a community I desperately needed in a journey that was life changing for me. So lets get down to the fun stuff aka results and food plans.
Starting weight = 183.4lbs ---> Current weight = 165lbs
Starting hips = 47 inches ----> Current hips = 44 inches
Starting waist = 31 inches ---> Current waist = 28 inches
SAMPLE MONDAY MEAL
Breakfast: Green smoothie w/ protein power
Snack : Plain Greek yogurt w/ 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
Lunch: Large green salad with 4oz turkey, veggies 1/4 avocado & 1 tbs apple cider
Dinner: Lemon pepper baked cod with steamed broccoli
Sadly I can't give you a full weeks worth of meal plans because its not mine to share but I will say the healthy eating along with 4-5 workouts a week has truly done wonders to my body and has given me something solid to use now that the challenge has ended. I am walking away with better knowledge about what goes into my body and how to eat healthy without depriving myself of the snacks I want. It's deifnitely been a process but I'm enjoying the hell out of it.
